Product Description

Polyvinyl chloride is a polymer material that uses a chlorine atom to replace a hydrogen atom in polyethylene. It is an amorphous polymer with a small amount of crystalline structure. The structure of this material is as follows: - (CH2 CHCl) n -. PVC is a linear polymer with VCM monomers mostly connected in a head tail structure. The carbon atoms are arranged in a zigzag shape, with all atoms arranged in σ Key connection. All carbon atoms are sp3 hybrid.

PVC is a white powder with an amorphous structure and low branching degree. It begins to decompose at a glass transition temperature of 77~90 ℃ and around 170 ℃. However, it has poor stability to light and heat. When exposed to sunlight for a long time or above 100 ℃, it decomposes to produce hydrogen chloride, which further catalyzes decomposition and causes discoloration. Its physical and mechanical properties also rapidly decrease. In practical applications, stabilizers must be added to improve stability to heat and light. The molecular weight of PVC produced in industrial production generally ranges from 50000 to 110000, with significant polydispersity. The molecular weight increases with the decrease of polymerization temperature, without a fixed melting point. It begins to soften at 80-85 ℃, becomes viscoelastic at 130 ℃, and becomes viscous at 160-180 ℃; Has good mechanical properties, with a tensile strength of about 60MPa and an impact strength of 5-10kJ/m2; Has excellent dielectric properties. PVC was once the world's largest general-purpose plastic in production and widely used. It is widely used in building materials, industrial products, daily necessities, floor leather, floor tiles, artificial leather, pipes, wires and cables, packaging films, bottles, foaming materials, sealing materials, fibers, and other fields. On October 27, 2017, the International Agency for Cancer Research of the World Health Organization released a preliminary list of carcinogens for reference, with polyvinyl chloride listed as a category 3 carcinogen
